Have you ever been to University and did you enjoy it? If you haven't been are you hoping to go in the future?

Although I'd like to be able to go to university, I just don't have the drive or the focus to study.

There are plenty of college courses you could do which aren't based on intellect.

My sister and I are doing a massage course at the end of November and I don't think there were any minimum requirements.

I think to make University worthwhile you've not only got to have a reasonable level of intelligence, you've also got to have the ability to study in your own time.

Have you looked at the prospectus for your local college to see if there's any part-time courses that interest you?

That's true. Some of them are so expensive.

There are some that you can get free or discounted if you're in reciept of benefits, don't have a level 2 or 3 qualification (GCSE's are Level 2 and A levels are Level 3) but that's something the prospectus would explain.

There are also day and short courses you can do to provide an introduation to various subjects which are usually a bit cheaper as they don't usually provide a qualification.

I wouldn't mind doing a course in Japanese but I've heard from people in the past that it can cost anything up to £300 a term :-/

A 'Getting Started in Japanese' course at my local college is £72 for a 10 week course so it probably varies depending on which college you're looking at.

That's true, and that's a very reasonable price for a course indeed :)

I went to university for three years.

I did art and I really enjoyed the course but there's not that much you can do with an art degree so it was probably a bit of a waste of time.
